2. What Data We Collect

We collect two categories of data:

Analytics data (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects anonymised session data including pages visited, time on site, general geographic region (country/city level), device type, and referral source. This is used solely to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

Contact form submissions

When you submit our discovery call form, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the service you're interested in, and the message you provide. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry. It is transmitted via Resend (our email delivery provider) to our inbox and is not stored in any third-party CRM or marketing database.

We do not collect payment information, government ID, or any sensitive personal data on this website.

3. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to function. They include security and functionality storage used by the browser session. These are set regardless of your consent choice.

Analytics cookies (consent required)

These are only set if you click "Accept analytics" on the consent banner.

Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) under the key `qm_consent`. It persists until you clear your browser data.

We do not use your contact information for unsolicited marketing. If you submit the contact form, you will only receive a direct reply to your inquiry.

**Right to delete** — you may request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.

**Right to opt out of sale** — we do not sell personal information. However, the use of Google Analytics may constitute "sharing" of personal data under CCPA for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes. You can opt out by managing your cookie preferences below, or by submitting a request to contact@quillmetric.com.

**Right to non-discrimination** — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

**Right to access** — you have the right to request access to your personal information held by us and to challenge its accuracy and completeness.

**Right to withdraw consent** — you may withdraw consent for analytics at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

8. Data Retention

Analytics data (GA4) is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.

Contact form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the client relationship. If you would like your submission deleted, email contact@quillmetric.com and we will remove it within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
